Paranormal Genealogy. What is it? Have you experienced it? These two words are familiar to most, but when blended together into a single concept the waters get murky.

What is Paranormal Genealogy?

To answer this question, lets first look at the definition of each word independently. Paranormal: beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation. Genealogy: the study or investigation of ancestry and family histories.

When we look at them together (“blended”) a new concept emerges. Paranormal Genealogy would then be “the study or investigation of ancestry and family histories with experiences beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation.”

What exactly are these experiences?

In my own personal life I’ve experienced various different forms of Paranormal Genealogy. I’ve also heard from countless other Family Historians and Genealogists who have experienced similar.

A few of the experiences include medium experiences, dreams, visions, sightings, audible experiences, and more. Many of these experiences are tied to family heirlooms, cemeteries, and a myriad of objects.
